PROJECT PHILOSOPHYThe philosophy underlying the project design was to create a set of facilities that would be close enough to each other to be mutually beneficial. The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, which will be one of the most modern and multi-functional in the world, is the key facility in the project, where it is planned to hold a wide range of sports, commercial and leisure activities. The aim of the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve is to be the breeding ground for tomorrow's champions and at the same time to be a centre of attraction for sporting activities and leisure pursuits such as the hire of go-karts, official races or amateur competitions. It is also planned to have a special area at the Karting Circuit reserved for tests of tyres and handling, and it will also be possible to use one version of the circuit as a testing track. Because of its prime location, the Technology Park – Algarve Innovation Centre will act as a complement to the Race Circuit and the Karting Circuit, and it will be the ideal place for companies to be based that are linked to the world of motor sport in all its different aspects. The Technology Park will also have one of the most modern infrastructure networks, including an advanced fibre optic system. |
